The usual things on Red Cross Day, breakfast, walk Tot, hang the washing out and then get out to the shop and all before 9.00.
The first part of the morning was slow so I kept myself busy and sorted the linen shelves and found a very nice boxed set of Laura Ashley, Nottingham lace place mats for $3. I also bought a very nice framed print by EW Haslehurst called by the quayside. Jon and I really like it but Heather thinks it is boring but it suits this house and so it is now in the hall.
The second half of the morning was busy and it was soon 1.00 and I went off to the supermarket and also picked up the lemon meringue pit I had ordered from the baker - lazy?? I think so!!
I got back and had lunch and watched Downton Abbey. When I turned it off I saw there was a special new flash and it was all about another earthquake in Christchurch, those poor people. I really don't know how they cope it must be awful.
Carol called to wish me a happy Christmas as she leaves for Brisbane tomorrow till 17 January.
I spent the rest of the afternoon wrapping presents and Heather's stocking fillers.
I went over to a pub at Bayfair to meet Heather and some of the Genera people for a drink for Emma's leaving do but I didn't stay long.
When I got back I finished the presents and Jon went over to our old fish and chip shop for our dinner. The fish and chips are much better from there.
We watched Corrie and Heather finally came in.
I did some ironing and watched the Vicar of Dibley Christmas special, very funny.
WEATHER
