I had a really good night's sleep last night and the only reason I can think of is that I read a book before going to sleep and maybe it cleared my mind of 'house' things
I showered and had a cup of tea and was about to take Tot out and Kirsty rang and so we ended up having a long chat all about her wedding and the menus she has chosen which sound very nice.
I was then pushed for time and had to rush to at least walk Tot down the drive and back before going off to my hair appointment.
After my hair cut I went to have a coffee and a look around the shops for a potential wedding outfit but didn't find anything.
I then popped into the library to take a book back before going to Farmers, a big, well big by Kiwi standards, to buy our white goods. I think the salesman thought it was his birthday when I told him what I wanted and as quick as a flash I had spent a lot of money and bought a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave, vacuum cleaner and a kettle. I got a lot of good deals as they had some special offers on. I have a limit on my card and if I had paid for it the card would be blocked for 24 hours so told them I would have to come back later with a cheque.
I then went to meet Heather for lunch, which she bought as I was in shock!!! lol Heather went back to work and I then bought some Christmas things and a few BBQ utensils and some plastic containers as all my cooking things are in containers which belong to the house so I will have to change them.
As I had a car full of recycling stuff I had to stop off at the tip on the way back and so didn't get home till 2.30. After letting Tot out I then checked my emails and thought I would have time to take Tot out for a walk before my massage appointment but I looked at the voucher and saw it was for 3.00 not 3.30 so had to rush out straight away.
I arrived just on 3.00 and went in for my hot stone massage which I had bought ages ago on the Treat me website and got it for about £15. It was sheer bliss and just what I needed after such a hectic few days.
When it was over I looked bit greasy but had to go and take the cheque in for the things I bought this morning!! Oh well I will probably never see the salesman again.
When I got back I made a cup of tea and sat and enjoyed the first episode of Downton Abbey - only three to go before we move!!
Heather came home and we took Tot out for a walk. Jon called and we had a chat, he is staying in the Langham in Auckland, lucky devil.
Heather and I had dinner and then watched some TV. I cleared out some clothes to take to the Red Cross tomorrow - Jon will be pleased. I might just get to watch another episode of Downton Abbey before bed.
I wish they would stop letting fireworks off, Tot is going mad. Our main firework display at the weekend has been cancelled as they have put a temporary bird sanctuary near to the stadium where it was due to be held after the stock car races. They have put lots of the birds that have been rescued from the Rena oil spill and they say they would be stressed so they have cancelled the fireworks. I understand why but it is a shame for the children.
WEATHER
Lovely sunny day 21 degrees
