Wednesday

I woke after a good night and Totty didn't wake me up for a change.

When I opened the curtains the view across the bay was lovely. There was rising mist all around and then it cleared a little and then more mist, really beautiful.

One of the Lions ladies called me to ask me to print off some jokes for the meeting tomorrow night as they don't have a speaker. I had to look through all my emails to find jokes that are not too rude and it took me a long time to sort them all, copy and paste and then print them, I hope it will be worth it.

I took Tot for her walk and thought we would go further but she wouldn't have any of it and just sat down so we turned around and just did our usual route.

I was doing my nails and watching Mrs Brown's boys and looked at the clock and had a panic! it was 12.45 and I had to be at the Cancer Society for 1.00. I quickly grabbed a cereal bar and off I shot.

The 'loud' lady wasn't there today so it was much quieter. I had two rude men who complained, one about the cost going up for the daffodils. I told him they were the same price as last year and he said 'yes, but they were cheaper two years ago'. It is best not to say anything. Another man said he had had three calls today and put the phone down before I could even apologies not that I think the three calls came from us. You win some you lose some. Only one more shift for me then I am done for this year. I won't be able to help with the bunching this year as we are away when it happens.

I took the unwanted chemo tablets back to the pharmacy today. They are very expensive and I thought they might do what they do in the UK and give them to poorer countries but she said they destroy them. I think it is a shame as I am sure if I could not afford medication I would rather take my chance with secondhand stuff than none at all.

I got back and fed Tot and had a much needed cup of tea. I got the dinner ready and lit the fire.

Jon came home about 6.00 and we had dinner and watched TV.

WEATHER
